Synopsis: In this class will be a refresher on perfect lines and blending. I have some exciting new masks/eye designs and a beautiful new tiger. We will work on some super hero designs and tattoo designs for boys. I've changed up some of the Texas State Fair designs and will teach those as well. This is a hands on class so bring your kit and a camera. Everyone in this class will Be given my favorite brush, the Mark Reid Signature #4 Round.

Wings and Things

Synopsis: Girls and Boys of all ages love things with wings! This class will teach you "wings and things" designs by using split cakes and basic brushstrokes. These designs are quick and versatile so that they may be painted as a tattoo or face/mask/eye designs.
In this class you will learn:

Once you learn these designs, the combinations of wings and things you can paint will be limited only by your imagination!

Terrifying Transformations!

Synopsis: Halloween is right around the corner. Are you ready? For me personally, the thing that I derive the most pleasure from as a face and body artist is the jaw dropping full face transformation! In this class you'll learn intermediate to advanced techniques in creating full face illusions. This is not your three minute festival face class. Push all of your face painting skills to their limit! Learn: Missing skin, exposed bone, viral necro-pathy (zombie stuff), wicked furrows, ghastly grimaces, and more!

Halloween Scream

Synopsis: My favorite holiday hands down! The "Treat" in this class is all the "Trick" face art you'll learn! I'll be teaching it all from quick kiddie classics to terrifying teen transformations! I'll teach you to use blobology to create an array of thematic characters. Also, learn to create convincing, double take, wound illusions! We'll touch on gashes, stitches bruises and more!

Wings that Wow

This class is for all skill levels, however, fundamentals of basic brush control are needed as we will not be covering entry level strokes.
Synopsis: Do your wings look like a kid painted them? Do you struggle with placement and basic anatomy? Does it feel like for something so simple you're trying way too hard? Then this is your class. Leonardo da Vinci was an artistic master, but his work was based on an understanding of anatomy. In this class you will be given steps to create a full array of dynamic wings (and even the creatures they're attached to!) you will learn:

  • Sparrow wings
  • Dove/angel wings
  • Raptor wings (eagle, griffin, phoenix)
  • Dragon/bat wings
  • Tattoo/illustrated wings
  • Tribal wings
  • Butterfly/fantasy wings
  • Lace/dragonfly wings
