Yup! Let me tell you, Robert from Shutterbug Studio has takes great! photos! He's been been joining us for the past couple of years, and will be there again this year. Not only does he document the whole event for us, but you can totally have him take some great photos of paintings you do and order them from him for your own use. How awesome is that?
San Jose is in the Bay Area.
The convention is in August.
We suggest you plan on it being warm, or breezy. Plan for both. A hoodie, sweatshirt, pull-over, etc might be a good idea.
Weather reports can be followed on weather.com
We'd love to help, but we're swamped planning. We strongly recommend bringing your friends along and rooming with them. If that isn't an option, try the various facepainting forums. You could meet your new facepainting best friend that way!
Yes, but only in the privacy of their own rooms. This is a family friendly and strictly PG convention. We will not hesitate to talk with individuals if we feel they are getting out of line. We also reserve the right to ask offending individuals to leave. Please note: Individuals asked to leave will forfeit their registration fee.
Also, how lame would it be to get kicked out of a PG Convention? That's, like, sooooo Junior High.
Simply put: shorts and a shirt.
Less simply put: Would it be acceptable to be walking around on the street in those clothes? We'll be sharing the hotel with other guests, and we've promised to be well behaved. Help us keep our promises.
Because. Just because. Accept it and carry on, that will make things much easier.
Oh, ok, she's also our Webmaster, Web dev, Web designer, the holder of all tech knowledge, and has wicked-mad computer skillz.
She's also the one writing the faq.
Named 'Amanda' at birth, our beloved web master is continually bitter that she's the only child (in five) who is
named after no one. As kind of a sad form of rebellion she goes by the self-chosen name 'Max.' She answers to both.
It confuses us, too.
If you know this one, let us know. We're dying to find out!
